Dear People For Supporter,
It’s pretty simple – without strong protections for our fundamental, sacred right to vote, we really don’t live in a democracy anymore.
This past Wednesday, People For and our coalition partners engaged in our fourth big civil disobedience event in front of the White House. We’re asking President Biden to lead his party and call on the Senate to fix or nix the filibuster to pass the Freedom To Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.
This action was special to me because it featured the leadership of youth activists, and I was proud to be there with my 15-year-old daughter, Morgan. We thought you would enjoy a short highlights reel of our direct action, so please watch that here.
