After a tough week here in Virginia, I want to share some great news from Capitol Hill: We are on the verge of enacting one of the most significant investments in the American people in our history. 

The House just voted on a once-in-a-generation investment in our nation’s infrastructure that I helped negotiate over the past few months. That bill now heads to President Biden’s desk.

Remember team, while it took a lot of hard work to get here, none of this would be possible without our Democratic majority. Make a $5 contribution right now to protect Democrats in battleground states and keep up our progress.

This new investment in our infrastructure will help us fix roads and bridges, expand broadband, and improve ports and airports -- and it will put Virginians to work in the process. 

It also sets the stage for Congress to pass the next item on the Democratic agenda — the Build Back Better legislation, which will make life easier and more affordable for Virginia families, and families across the country. That budget legislation will also reduce child and home health care costs, combat climate change, promote clean energy, and increase access to affordable housing. 

Our bipartisan infrastructure legislation is a transformative investment in the American people. And I want more of it. There are important priorities, including paid family leave, that we must address in the coming months. I am looking forward to working with my colleagues and President Biden to keep this progress moving.
