Republicans are waging war on women by doing their very best to take away a woman's right to choose. Draconian new abortion laws in Texas and around our country are part of a coordinated national push to take away rights.
That's why I'm working hard to fight back, expose their unconstitutional attacks, and secure reproductive rights.
This war on women is purely to satisfy the Republicans' right-wing base, without any concern for women's health, the Constitution, or legal precedent.

Women having the right to choose what to do with their bodies is not only the morally correct position; it's been settled law for over 40 years.
As Chair of the House Judiciary Committee, I will never stop fighting for the rights of women to control their bodies and lives, as my 100% score from NARAL shows . However, Republicans know that their extreme base cares more about imposing their twisted values on the rest of us than actually upholding Constitutionally guaranteed freedoms.
For a party that is constantly producing hot air about adhering to the Constitution, this attempt is yet another example that when it comes down to it, Republicans are willing to throw the Constitution and judicial precedent straight out the window if it means serving up red meat to its extreme right-wing base.
