I’m excited to share the bills that make up my 2022 legislative agenda. This year, I’m introducing over 20 bills that cover: funding for public schools, body cams for local law enforcement, homeless shelters, stormwater disaster relief for Cheshire and Sullivan Counties, telehealth expansion, mental health licensure, cell phone coverage, and organic farming.

I also filed bills to undo the damage in the biennial budget: repealing divisive concept prohibitions, public funding of private schools, and loss of local control over remote learning.

Since joining the Senate in 2017, 50 of my bills have been signed into law. Although I’ve made progress on our legislative priorities, things are moving in the wrong direction under Republican leadership. The GOP-controlled Senate has focused on extreme partisan politics rather than constituent needs.

Senate Democrats must take back the majority and put an end to the extremist agenda among state Republicans. I need to do my part to make sure Democrats regain a majority in the Senate. Please help me continue to play a leadership role in our state by donating to Friends of Jay Kahn!
