Sailing your Way
November 5, 2021
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
It's a short newsletter week. Shocking, right?

As I send this the Redistricting Board is fighting hammer and tongs to finish a map. I'm honestly not sure what's going to come out. Stay tuned.
Skagway Mayor Andrew Cremata stopped by the office Friday to talk about issues and opportunities on the horizon in the Garden City.
Come Join the Fun!
Does my newsletter make you wish you could follow legislative goings-on in even more detail? Want to help make it all happen? Well here’s your chance!

The legislature is hiring non-partisan staff for the 2022 session. The Capitol couldn’t function without the extraordinary work of the many non-partisan folks who keep this place running, including Records and Teleconference. To find out about available positions, contact Skiff Lobaugh.

Of course we also need Pages to keep our floor sessions on track! These are full time, session-only jobs. If you’re interested, email a resume and your driving record to Micaela Bradner and Romo Marasigan.
I got to join the groundbreaking for the new Teal Street Center. More than a decade in the making, it will be a home for many of Juneau's amazing nonprofits!
Going to Gustavus & Sailing to Skagway
I’ve got some in-person events coming up the next two weeks in Gustavus & Skagway. (And Haines in December!) I hope to see you there. Let's talk about what want to see in the coming session. If the times below don’t work for you, please reach out and we'll set up a time to speak individually.

Town Hall: Nov. 9, 6:00-7:30pm at the Gustavus Community Center

Open Office Hours: Nov. 9, 11am-1pm at the Fireweed Gallery

Town Hall: Nov. 16, 6:00-7:30pm at the AB Hall

Open Office Hours: Nov. 17, 11am-1pm at the Skagway Library
All my best,
Did someone forward you this newsletter?
Did you fall into it through the series of tubes? Want more?
