Hi John,
There’s been a lot of back and forth in Congress and haggling behind closed doors today about the BIF and Build Back Better bills. But whatever happens, this fact remains: $3.5 trillion was the compromise.
If I were in Congress right now, I’d be pushing to end all fossil fuel subsidies, include paid family leave, and include allowing Medicare to immediately negotiate down ALL prescription drugs. Can you donate now to help me win, so I can fight for the working class in Congress? [[link removed]]
When she was running for president, Kamala Harris said she wanted to spend $10 trillion — on climate alone .
Candidate Biden said he wanted to spend $7 trillion on his Build Back Better bill.
Then this May, it went down to $5 trillion.
Then $3.5 trillion.
Now it’s $1.75 trillion.
And to top it all off, the proposed Democratic tax cuts for the rich are retroactive. But prescription drug price cuts don’t start until 2025-2028.
Come on, man.
This is what happens when you have an establishment that is totally sold out to the pharmaceutical industry. I don’t take any corporate PAC money, so I need your help to keep growing my grassroots campaign. Please donate $7 here and help me win. [[link removed]]

I’m running against a Joe Manchin Democrat. He’s a proud deficit hawk who brags that he’s returned $300,000 from his office budget to help pay for deficit reduction. (Wouldn’t that money have been better spent increasing his staff’s salary or paying interns?)
He’s such a deficit hawk that he even joined with Republicans to sign a letter calling for Social Security cuts.
Well, I don’t believe in selling out seniors or anyone else for the deficit, an issue that only seems to come up when it suits a rightwing political agenda. The richest country on Earth can afford a lot more than the corporate establishment wants us to think. If you agree, please donate to help me win, because we deserve more than the crumbs of the rich:
