It's been a long day, but with the election officially one year away – and Senate control on the line – it's important to me that I send out this email before logging off.

Donald Trump recently endorsed my opponent Sen. Grassley at a rally here in Iowa. It's made me more resolved than ever to win, but frankly, I’m deeply worried about what this endorsement means for our country. With Sen. Grassley's enthusiastic embrace of Trump – and all of his conspiracy theories, radicalism and dangerous attempts to overthrow the election – the Republican Party has officially chosen Trump over our country. And I'd bet I'm not the only one who's lost sleep over it.

But what I'm hearing from voters on the campaign trail is totally different than the extremism and conspiracy theories coming out of Washington (or Mar-a-Lago). I've met countless Iowans who are ready for new leadership. Don't just take it from me, polling shows nearly two-thirds of voters don't want to reelect Sen. Grassley.

The momentum on the ground is real. But we're up against powerful forces: conspiracy theories, alarmist rhetoric, and – above all – tens of millions of dollars that the Republican establishment is ready to deploy at a moment's notice to stop us. We can win, but we need the resources to compete with GOP spending and make sure our message reaches voters.
