The Democrats who won in Northern Virginia this week had a strong, clear story to tell -- and they made sure that the GOP didn't define them.

Friend,

As we continue to reflect on this week's elections in the commonwealth, I wanted to highlight some of the successes we had -- because they speak to what our path forward must be.

First, I'm pleased to say that every Democrat in Prince William County won their race. This includes new representatives like Briana Sewell and Michelle Maldonado, and incumbents in tough races such as Dan Helmer and my good friend Danica Roem.

I also was delighted to see Wendy Gooditis prevail in her race. From the start of this cycle, she was one of the GOP's top targets. She overcame some big GOP gains in Loudoun County to win by a few hundred votes -- proving that organizing, consistent outreach, and a strong story to tell matter.

The Virginia Democrats who won this week talked about fixing roads. They talked about our party's incredible success over the last few years in expanding Medicaid and passing gun safety laws to protect families. And they hit the ground running early, to make sure that the GOP didn't define them first.

I'm incredibly grateful to everyone on Team Wexton who lent a hand toward our victories in Northern Virginia -- whether by making phone calls, joining me to knock doors for candidates, or chipping in a few dollars to keep our campaign efforts on behalf of fellow Democrats going strong.

Winning next year means learning from both our mistakes and our successes. We need to build upon the formula for victory that these incredible candidates found and run it on a much bigger scale.

As you may have seen, the NRCC just put VA-10 on its expanded list of targets -- and I'm not wasting a second in gearing up to counter their attacks and make my case to voters. If you can help me do this by donating a few dollars, I'd really appreciate it.

I'm proud of the record I've built up in Congress. I've voted to deliver jobs, economic relief, and an expanded child tax credit for families. I've voted to protect healthcare and the right to choose. And I'll always be a strong voice for VA-10's federal workers.

I need your help to tell the story of this record -- and what I'm doing to keep delivering progress -- next year. And we have to get started now.

That's why we need to reach our fundraising goal by Monday and raise $6,719 more. Please chip in anything you can before then.

Thank you,

Jennifer
