The Biden administration announced yesterday they are suing Texas to overturn our new election integrity laws. I will fight this federal aggression against Texas.

Polls show 82 percent of Texans support our Election Integrity bill’s provision which makes vote harvesting a third degree felony. 86 percent of Texans support longer early voting hours. 74 percent of Texans support adding your license number or last four digits of your social security number to mail-in ballots.

We passed our election integrity law — not only because it is overwhelmingly popular — but because it is the right thing to do. We made it easier to vote and hard to cheat in Texas.

The House had reduced the penalty for illegal voting from a felony to a misdemeanor. However, the Governor added this issue to the Special Session Call, and the Senate passed legislation restoring the penalty for illegal voting back to a second degree felony. Unfortunately, the Speaker announced he would not bring up that bill in the House. This is one reason I requested a 4th Special Session to address that issue again, as well as the Forensic Audit Bill. The Senate passed the Forensic Audit Bill twice, but the Speaker refused to bring it to the floor, along with several other issues.

This was a bad week for Biden and the Democrats. They lost elections across the country. Now they are trying to rally their progressive ‘woke’ base, and they are going after Texas to make themselves feel better.

It goes without saying — Biden is working against what Texans want. These lawsuits are just another attempt by the federal government to take over Texas policies. Let Texas run Texas!

I have a message for Biden: Texas will see you in court. We will never stop fighting to protect and defend our constitutional rights and conservative values.

Biden and the Democrats can’t win elections. And they can’t win in the Texas Legislature. So now they are trying to fight us in court! We know what is best for our own state, and we do not need DC elites telling us otherwise. May I count on your contribution of $5-10-25 or more today? Your support will send a message to Democrats that their radical policies are not welcome here in Texas.
