Virginia was a tough wake-up call for Democrats, John.

Donald Trump’s handpicked opponent, Glenn Youngkin, ran a campaign rooted in right-wing extremism, and Youngkin’s victory sent a clear message to Republicans across the country that his despicable playbook works.

That means we’re about to see a wave of GOP lies, misinformation and conspiracies as the 2022 election approaches. If we don’t stand up and fight back with everything we’ve got, these dangerous tactics could very well deliver Senate control back to Republicans – along with critical seats up and down the ballot across the country.

I refuse to sit back and let that happen. But our work has to start now, and it’s going to take all of us stepping up to do our part. So today, I’m personally asking you, John: Can I count on your help?
