At the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference Mayor Cantrell made clear that New Orleans cannot pump its way out of climate change. She has been fighting to harden infrastructure and secure federal and state dollars to help fight climate change in our city since day one.

Mayor Cantrell knows that we must turn to renewable energy, invest in green infrastructure, and look for new innovative ways to satisfy residents' needs all the while protecting the environment.
