REP. GAETZ AND GOP COLLEAGUES DEMAND ANSWERS FROM MERRICK GARLAND

This week I sent a letter, along with eight other house Republicans, demanding answers from Attorney General Merrick Garland regarding the FBI’s involvement in the incident at the Capitol on January 6th. Following a bombshell story by Revolver News last week, we learned that a certain individual by the name of Ray Epps had a suspicious amount of involvement that led to the breaching of barricades and gaining access to the Capitol building. Epps’ picture was previously posted on the FBI’s most wanted list but was removed shortly after. Getting to the bottom of what happened on this day and the FBI’s involvement is crucial to upholding the integrity of our highest institutions and our constitutional republic as a whole.

THE BIDEN SUPPLY CHAIN CRISIS

This week I cosponsored the Supplying America Needs Truckers Aged 18 Act aka the SANTA 18 Act introduced by Congressman Brian Mast (FL-18). This bill removes unnecessary logistical hurdles that are contributing to the ongoing supply chain shortage by allowing 18-20 year olds to transport goods from ports located within a state to destinations within that same state. As of now, the law requires drivers to be 21 or older to transport goods from a port to another destination, even if within the same state. This is a common sense bill that would also allow younger adults the opportunity for more jobs. Let’s get this bill to a vote on the House floor immediately before Christmas!

MAYOR BOWSER NEEDS TO TREAT DC DETAINEES WITH RESPECT

This week I signed a letter with Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene, Paul Gosar, and Louie Gohmert demanding oversight and transparency from D.C. Mayor Bowser on the D.C. jail conditions housing prisoners from January 6. As duly elected members of Congress, it is outrageous that we were denied entry into the jail with no justifiable reason. This country is built on equal justice under the law. These American citizens sitting in that jail are not receiving justice. I owe it to my constituents and the American people to demand transparency in our jails and prisons. Congress is tasked with funding, oversight, and authority over the District and I applaud Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene for spearheading this effort!
