I was excited when Debbie told me she wanted to rally our grassroots team ahead of next year’s midterm elections.

After all, this Monday, we’ll be exactly one year from Election Day.

So here’s why I’m shocked:

Way too many members of our grassroots team aren’t stepping up.

Friend, the Detroit Free Press wrote earlier this week that the upset in the Virginia Governor’s race portends disaster for Michigan Democrats.

The good news is that we still have time to turn things around. If we come together right now, I know we can keep our Democratic majorities in Congress and strong leadership in our statewide offices from Governor Whitmer on down.

Please, friend, don’t wait. From protecting our Democracy to standing up for health care, there is way too much on the line for Michigan’s future to stay on the sidelines.
