The Build Back Better Act must pass in its entirety along with the bipartisan infrastructure bill — and I urge my Senate colleagues to pass these pieces of legislation, without reservation and without compromise.
At every level of government, it is our job to make sure that we turn a new page to ensure that our communities are given targeted and reparative investments. That starts with the Biden administration's Build Back Better Agenda.
There's so much evidence around us that when Democrats are elected, they are expected to deliver. There's so much we've fought for and successfully won in the past year — like stimulus checks, free COVID-19 vaccines, and a child tax credit — to support our communities.
When we make promises to deliver certain things, people remember when they go to the polls. We were able to flip both Senate seats in Georgia under the promise of delivering progressive change with a Democrat-controlled House, Senate, and White House.
It is time that establishment corporate Democrats join progressives to meet the moment and deliver for the American people. That includes the Building Back Better for all.
