[1]Women's March
So much has happened for this team in just over one
month, John.
Just a few weeks ago, hundreds of thousands of us took to the streets in
over 650+ cities to demand abortion justice and say NO to the dangerous
abortion bans popping up across the country, like Texas' S.B. 8.

Together, we organized one of the largest days of resistance dedicated to
demanding abortion justice in American history. We said loud and clear: We
will not accept any ban on abortion, for any person, in ANY state in our
country.

But the Rally for Abortion Justice wasn't just a one day event. It was day
one of our renewed, long-term commitment to fighting these dangerous
anti-choice attacks on our bodies.
We've already seen how important our continued advocacy will be. On
Monday, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments on S.B. 8, Texas'
near-total ban on abortion — and Women's Marchers and our partners showed
up and showed out at local courthouses across the country. Because women
are STILL watching.

These past few weeks alone have proven that, in the face of the most dire
threats to Roe v. Wade in decades, we have to show up again and again if
we're going to win this fight. Defending our health and our rights to
control our bodies will take a sustained, powerful, and consistent
commitment to this fight, which is why I'm coming to you today with an
important request:
[ [link removed] ]Would you start a monthly recurring donation of ANY amount — it could
be $25, $10, or even $3, to help sustain our fight for abortion justice
for the long haul? We must continue showing up over the next few critical
months, and a monthly donation would allow our organizers to continue
planning rallies, actions, and mobilizations whenever necessary to protect
our bodies and our rights.

Please give me a moment to explain why I'd ask you for a monthly donation
— because I realize it's a big commitment.
However, it's a vitally important one.
A whopping 25 states have already directly requested the Supreme Court
dismantle Roe v. Wade, and we all know now that states like Texas are
enacting oppressive abortion bans we haven’t seen in decades.
That means we have big fights on the horizon. Next month, the Supreme
Court will hear a much more direct challenge to Roe V. Wade and Planned
Parenthood V. Casey on December 1, when the Justices review a Mississippi
law that bans abortions after 15 weeks. And Republican governors and state
legislatures in additional GOP-controlled states have *already* said
they'd consider similar legislation to Texas' S.B. 8.

It's going to take all of us to fight to defend abortion access across the
country — and that will take an unprecedented amount of sustained
organizing power in all 50 states. So if you, like me, believe that our
women-led movement can make the vital difference in this pivotal moment in
history for abortion rights, then I am respectfully asking you to begin a
monthly donation right now:
[ [link removed] ]Please start a monthly recurring donation of ANY amount to sustain our
fight for abortion justice for the upcoming months. Gathering thousands of
women and allies to show up for abortion access whenever necessary will
take a lot of support, so your monthly contribution will make an enormous
difference.
