That’s right Texas, your Democrat reps are about to vote to defund your safety net hospitals. In this reconciliation package, Democrats are trying to punish states that didn’t expand Medicaid through Obamacare. So they are cutting payments to safety net hospitals ONLY in these states. Texas currently uses a waiver to apply Medicaid dollars to direct payments to low-income hospital systems instead of expanding Medicaid infinitely.
