Governor Phil Murphy just accomplished something that no other Democrat has done in our state in over 40 years by winning a well-deserved second term leading New Jersey forward. This is a victory not just for Governor Murphy and Lt. Governor Oliver, but for our entire Democratic Party and for every resident of our state whose lives have been positively impacted by Governor Murphy’s leadership.

While there are several important races still to be decided, I also want to congratulate every other Democrat who prevailed in their elections and will now have the opportunity to deliver progress for the people who trusted them with their votes. It’s up to all of us to come together to deliver a positive agenda that provides tangible results for working and middle class families.
Over the last several months, Democrats have worked to get out the vote all across New Jersey and get our message out to voters. From our own Forward 2021 campaign, to the Governor’s campaign team, to our local and county Democratic parties, to our candidates up and down the ballot and to the grassroots progressive organizations all over New Jersey, I would like to personally thank each and every person who made this victory possible with your hard work, perseverance and faith.
I would like to offer my friend Governor Murphy, Lt. Governor Oliver and First Lady Tammy Murphy my most heartfelt congratulations. I’m certain that they will all continue to deliver the results that the people of New Jersey deserve, and I am excited to keep partnering with them to move our state forward.
