Democrats in Congress representing high tax, big spending states like California are pushing for restoration of the State and Local Tax (SALT) Deduction in the budget reconciliation bill. But restoring the full SALT Deduction would “make it rain” in these states – with taxpayers in low tax states paying higher taxes to facilitate tax cuts for high-income earners in these blue states and subsidize the reckless state tax and budget decisions.

Sierra Snow a Start to Ending the Drought

According to the UC Berkeley Central Sierra Snow Lab, October 2021 set the record for the most combined rain and snow with 16 inches. Maybe it isn’t a coincidence that the previous record was in October 2016 – at 15.67-inches – in what would be the end of an intense four-year drought. The 2016-2017 winter season was a monster year for the snowpack, with some ski resorts recording more than 600 inches of total snow.

The High Cost Of Driving In California Is No Accident

The average prices for regular, mid-grade, and premium are highest in California, $4.60, $4.78, and $4.90 a gallon, respectively, according to AAA. Prices are rising nationwide, but those numbers are still far in excess of the U.S. average of $3.40 a gallon.
