John - you may have been paying attention to the elections this past Tuesday. One of the big ones was the race for Governor of Virginia. The Republican candidate won, but he did so largely without Donald Trump.
There are some important takeaways from that election that could have implications for Republicans as we look ahead to the 2022 Primary and General Elections. The real question here is if this strategy can be successfully duplicated by other Republicans?
Please take a moment to watch my recent interview about this topic: You can watch it here.
I've long been saying that Trump's influence is diminishing the farther we get from his presidency. Moderate Republicans voted for Biden in 2020 because they couldn't stand Trump's behavior, but in this election, they came home and supported the Republican candidate who did everything he could to keep Trump out of the race.
When I say that our efforts are working, this is exactly what I mean. Firing up your political base is important, but so is attracting the moderate voters who want to vote Republican but couldn't - and still can't - stomach Donald Trump.
I'm out there every day raising awareness about these issues and doing what I can to make a positive impact - to restore sanity to Washington - and to support Republicans who are focused on helping people, not on tearing us apart. But I need your help to keep up the fight.
The funds we raise go directly into our advocacy efforts and I'm reaching out to ask you to consider making a donation right now to help. I'm counting on you. I'm so appreciative of all the work you're doing to heal the divisions in our country and get our government working again for all of us.
Thank you!
-John
