John,

On Tuesday, we watched Virginia, a state that hasn’t elected a Republican statewide since 2009, flip red. It was a devastating night that confirms our biggest fears: It will be the fight of a lifetime to keep Minnesota blue in next year’s midterm elections.

Republicans know that 2022 is their best chance in years to flip us red, and they’re going to go all-in to seize the opportunity. Right-wing special interest groups are already attacking Governor Walz, and it will only get much, much worse from here on out.

Between well-funded Republican campaigns and GOP super PACs, we will almost certainly be outspent next year. If we’re going to have any chance at holding the line, we can’t afford to be out-organized too.

Grassroots people-power is our only chance to stop a GOP takeover like we saw in Virginia from happening here. And to prove that we’re fired up and ready to win, we need to hit our 2,000 individual donor goal by this Monday, November 8 – the one-year out mark to Election Day 2022.

As of this morning, we’re only about 30% of the way to our target. John, if we’re going to make up the difference by Monday, we have to get that up to 50% by the end of the day. If you can, please pitch in by the end of the day to help us do it. We need you with us right now.

Thank you,

Karen Velez-Barron
