Tuesday, Republican Glenn Youngkin defeated the Democrat Terry McAuliffe in the race for Virginia’s governor— a state that President Biden won by 10 percentage points last year. Thursday, Winning For Women hosted a policy roundtable with Sen. Joni Ernst (IA) and press where she announced a bipartisan effort calling on President Biden to protect Afghan women and girls. The letter – signed by ALL 24 female senators - presses him on the “American disengagement from Afghanistan” and urges the administration to develop a plan to help Afghan women and girls suffering from Taliban rule.
