I have good news and bad news, John.

The good news is that we have this incredible grassroots team that has come through time and again to support our fight for fair maps. The bad news is that Republican attacks on fair districts are coming from all sides, which means we need your help now more than ever.

Here's how Kelly put it:

"Not only are [Republicans] consistently doubling down on their 2011 gerrymandering, annihilating competitive districts, and diluting the voting power of communities of color...they are also demonstrating a complete disregard for the will of the voters -- often totally disregarding the public feedback they are receiving about the maps. But we are fighting back."

On top of that, the GOP has also started suing over fair maps , a new strategy for them. So now on top of fighting off their gerrymanders, we also have to prepare to defend equitable maps in court!
