** Rep. Jackson Lee: ‘Racism Raised Its Ugly Head’ in Virginia Election Losses
------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------
Wednesday on CNN’s At This Hour ([link removed]) , race-mongering Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee ([link removed]) claimed bitterly and falsely that “racism raised its ugly head” in the Virginia gubernatorial election in which Critical Race Theory ([link removed]) enthusiast candidate Terry McAuliffe ([link removed]) was crushed by pro-parent Republican Glenn Youngkin.
“I really define Virginia as a case that was about local issues. Those were about parental issues,” Jackson Lee noted correctly. McAuliffe himself made it about parental issues during the campaign when he declared stupidly that he believed parents shouldn’t have any say in school curricula, because “we have experts for that.”
“And unfortunately, racism raised its ugly head and the Republican candidate used it very aptly,” Jackson Lee continued. “He followed the Trump playbook: use race and get a win. And that’s very sad. I’m not going to tie that to Democrats or anything we did here in Washington. I’m going to tie that to continuing to try to work to promote the beloved community that Martin King and John Lewis talked about.”
Youngkin didn’t use race — the tone-deaf McAuliffe did. Critical Race Theory is a racist ideology the leftist elites push in schoolrooms to divide and conquer Americans along racial lines. Youngkin empowered parents of all colors to fight back against that indoctrination, and that’s why a Republican won.
The race card isn’t working anymore, but Democrats have nothing else to play.

Over the course of her career as a legislator, Jackson Lee has often accused her political opponents of racism. For example:
* On March 2, 2021, CNN’s Don Lemon asked Jackson Lee: “The Supreme Court is hearing arguments today that could weaken voting rights in Arizona. Major push nationwide to make it harder for people to vote. What does this mean particularly for black voters?” The congresswoman replied ([link removed]) : “Well, I think tragically we have not had this historic opposition to our rights since slavery, during the Jim Crow days and of course the harshness of the 1960s. The tragedy of this is an entire party, the Republican Party, is committed to voter suppression, committed to avoiding the opportunity of votes. Donald Trump laid out he only wants one day for votes. They don’t want opportunities for absentee ballot, extended voting, same-day registration, all things that empower young people and people of color, African-Americans. This is a war on black people as it relates to voting…. It’s tragic that
Republicans want to take that stand because they can’t win fairly. They can’t draw people to their positions. They are now trying to suppress the votes.”
