This week’s results in Virginia prove that Trumpism is alive and that Democrats are in danger of being washed out by a red wave in the midterms if they continue to fail to deliver on popular progressive policies.

In a fit of denial, corporate Democrats have been busy casting blame on progressives, but this is only a coping mechanism they are using to avoid the reality that their philosophy of siding with big donors over the people is failing in a big way.

The bottom line is this: corporate Democratic obstruction of Bernie’s budget, raising the minimum wage, voting rights, and other popular policies are what led to a bloodbath in Virginia, and if we don’t get our act together, we could lose democracy altogether when an increasingly fascist Republican Party takes over.

To prevent a red wave in 2022, Our Revolution is investing in endorsing progressive champions and putting tremendous pressure on corporate Democrats to stop obstructing Bernie’s popular budget. Can we count on you to chip in what you can to help save our democracy and prevent a red wave?

While corporate Democrats were busy losing winnable elections, Our Revolution endorsed progressives won three major mayoral races: Michelle Wu in Boston, Justin Bibb in Cleveland, and Aftab Pureval in Cincinnati.

We also helped defeat more funding for police, passed a minimum wage increase in Kyrsten Sinema’s backyard, and helped progressive prosecutor Larry Krasner beat his establishment opponent.
