ICYMI: Republican Glenn Youngkin defeated Democrat Terry McAuliffe in
the Virginia gubernatorial race this week, adding to the ranks of
Republican governors prepared to fight back against Washington's
big-government agenda.

Youngkin: "For too long we've been expected to shelve our dreams,
shelve our hope, to settle for low expectations. We will not be a
commonwealth of low expectations! We will be a commonwealth of high
expectations!"

Maryland GOP Gov. Hogan takes push to 'refund the police' to Virginia
and beyond

Gov. Larry Hogan is taking his plan to 'refund the police' in
Maryland - a move which will pump $150 million into law enforcement
agencies - beyond his home state. Gov. Hogan: "We can reverse the tide
of rising crime, but we can't do it if we're attacking the men and
women who are working to keep us safe."

Biden FEMA rejects Texas appeal for emergency aid for border crisis

While the migrant crisis at the southern border rages on and continues
to strain state resources, the Biden Administration has denied Texas
Gov. Greg Abbott's appeal for federal reimbursement. This continues a
now long-standing pattern of federal inaction to help deal with the
southern border crisis under President Biden.

Reported Biden Plan to Pay Illegal Immigrants $450k Could Surpass
Payments to Some 9/11, Military Families

The Biden Administration is reportedly considering a plan to pay
$450,000 per person to many illegal immigrants, a move which would
eclipse payments given to Gold Star families and 9/11 victims. The plan
is understandably drawing major pushback from Republican lawmakers, who
were quick to point out the glaring oversight of fallen veterans, their
families, and 9/11 first responders..
