Crisis Continues [[link removed]]




Today is Day 13 of a 3,000-person caravan's trek to our southern border. With President Biden's decision to keep our borders open, we can anticipate even more surges at the Texas border. The smart thing to do is reimplement President Trump's successful 'Remain in Mexico' policy immediately, but the Democrats are in denial about America's illegal immigration crisis.




Biden's open-border agenda is causing the illegal immigration crisis. His policies are inviting migrants to make the dangerous trek to the United States. More than 50 percent of the people in the current caravan are sick, according to reports, with dozens requiring medical services for respiratory problems and infections.




It doesn't stop there. Cartels and human traffickers are profiting along the border with drug and human smuggling and other crime. This is the grim reality of the crisis Biden created.




By allowing and encouraging illegal immigration, Biden's open-border agenda is nothing short of cruel and inhumane.




As Biden continues to fail America, Texas continues to step up. To prepare for the surges, Texas deployed Department of Public Safety officers and the National Guard along the Rio Grande. We were able to halt the surge in Del Rio in October, and are prepared to do it again.




We must protect Texas and America against a lawless, overrun border and against a President who openly ignores his Constitutional duties of Article 4, Section 4. Our border is out of control and worsening by the day under Biden's failed leadership.




More than ever, we need Republicans in office who will fight for a stronger border for the safety of Texans. I will continue doing everything I can to ensure a safe and secure border.
