Hello – Senate control is on the line here in Iowa.

Republican Chuck Grassley just announced he’s running for re-election, and if he wins an eighth term, Democrats may very well lose our Senate majority for the next 2 years.

Mitch McConnell and his Super PACs have already raised tens of millions of dollars to spend trying to defeat me, but I have something even stronger: Grassroots donors like you.

My campaign has set a goal of getting 100 new donors today to help me defeat Grassley, turn Iowa blue, and expand our Senate majority – but right now, we’re still coming up short:

Please, can I count on you to join my campaign to defeat Chuck Grassley by making a donation of any amount before midnight tonight? I’m not taking any corporate PAC money, so I need you in this fight if we’re going to turn Iowa blue and defend our Democratic majority in the Senate.

I’m running for Senate because after a lifetime of Chuck Grassley in the Senate, we need someone representing Iowa, leading progressive causes, taking on the special interests… and not doing the bidding of Grassley’s donors.
