DFA members have been working for years to transform city elections across
America and this year we helped elect 4 progressive candidates running on
the local level, with a chance to elect a 5th in a November 16th runoff.

As a city councilor for nearly two decades in Columbia, South Carolina,
Tameika Isaac Devine has helped establish an Affordable Housing Task
Force, co-chaired a Workforce Initiative Project, and led a reorganization
of the city’s judicial system.

Her opponent is a Republican that sent out mailers to Democratic
households with the wrong address for early voting and used almost
$100,000 in television ads to spread lies about Tameika.

Tameika has a really good chance at winning her November 16th runoff, but
she needs DFA members to make sure her campaign has the resources it needs
to GOTV and win.

We won't build the powerful, inclusive Democratic Party we need and

If Tameika wins this runoff she will join Alvin Bragg, Sharetta Smith,
Joyce Craig, and Shenise Turner-Sloss as local DFA endorsed progressives
that won this month and are pushing forward a reflective, responsive
democracy.

Tameika would be the first-ever woman to become mayor of Columbia, SC.
This now comes down to which side will drive the most turnout and your
