Rosa and more than 200,000 older Californians have been excluded from receiving affordable health coverage because of their immigration status for decades. Rosa needs access to health care which is why she testified in support of a state bill to expand Medi-Cal coverage to undocumented seniors over the age of 50. Thanks to the advocacy of community members like Rosa, California passed a new law that provides full-scope Medi-Cal to income-eligible seniors regardless of immigration status.
