Votes are being counted now! No images? Click here John, Here at WCV, we know that our democracy is stronger when we all participate. This year, important local races took place across the state, and many are currently being decided by less than 100, 50, or even 10 votes. To our volunteers and supporters, we want to thank you for the time and energy you put into making sure your friends and family cast their ballots for bold progress on the issues we all care about. Civic engagement is about more than casting a ballot, and we want to give a particular thank you to the exceptional work of those not eligible to vote this election – the hours you spent encouraging others to get out the vote do not go unnoticed. WCV's Evergreen Future program is our campaign to push elected officials across the state to support bolder environmental action. This year, over 100 local candidates signed onto the platform. Whether they win their races or not, we look forward to working with them to achieve our shared vision for clean air, clean water, healthy forests, environmental justice, public health, and corporate responsibility. In a free and fair election, every vote counts. Election results take time to count and certify. We expect daily results at approximately 4:30pm. Thank you for all you’ve done this year to fight for a strong democracy and a healthy environment. You inspire us. Onward, Lennon Bronsema |
