Facebook has been in the news a lot recently.

Hey there --

Facebook has been in the news a lot recently.

The disclosure of thousands of internal documents from Facebook reveals what we have known for a long time: Facebook doesn't care about its impact on our children, our public health, or our information ecosystem so long as it grows its profits. Facebook can try to change their name to evade accountability, but we know they’re still rotten to the core.

Facebook cares how long we spend on its platforms (including Instagram and WhatsApp) because 98% of Facebook's revenue is derived from ads targeted to users. In short: we are Facebook’s entire business model.

So we’re doing the thing that will get Facebook’s attention: logging out. We’re joining our partners at Kairos to show the power of Facebook and Instagram users. If you have not already, take the pledge to log out of Facebook and Instagram next week on November 10:

Click here to join thousands of people across the country taking the pledge to log off Facebook together — and invite others to do the same.

Together, we can put a stop to Facebook’s toxic business model of surveillance advertising and demand urgent structural reform to the platform.

For those of you who don’t have a Facebook account, don’t worry—you can still sign up. Let’s send a strong and clear message to Mark Zuckerberg.

Appreciate your support,
