Friends,
It is clear that we are living through the worst attack on voting rights since Jim Crow. We can’t allow extreme Republican elected officials to destroy democracy, and the way the filibuster is structured today gives them a clear path to stalling the passage of voting rights legislation.
Most recently, Senate Republicans used the filibuster to block the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, and it’s clear they’ll do the same with other voting reform packages when the time comes. In order to protect the right to vote and get federal reform passed, the Senate must reform the filibuster.
Sign on now to urge the U.S. Senate to reform the filibuster and urge them to pass federal voting protections NOW. [[link removed]]
SIGN NOW ✏️ [[link removed]]This current filibuster process has been used as a tool to stall voting rights legislation introduced in the Senate.
We must urge Congress to reform the filibuster, so we can ensure nothing gets in the way of free and fair elections nationwide. [[link removed]]
