Abortion in Alabama is still legal after today’s federal court ruling. That’s seven in a row.

ACLU Supporter -- I have some big news to share: We just blocked Alabama’s abortion ban. With this federal court ruling, it’s official: None of the state abortion bans passed earlier this year are in effect.
The Alabama law would have banned abortion in nearly all instances and threatened doctors with up to 99 years in prison for performing an abortion. The ban was set to go in effect on November 15 -- just a little over two weeks from now -- but we stopped it in its tracks.
So let’s recap:
Alabama: BLOCKED
Arkansas: BLOCKED
Georgia: BLOCKED
Missouri: BLOCKED
Kentucky: BLOCKED
Ohio: BLOCKED
Utah: BLOCKED
Make no mistake, ACLU Supporter: We did this together. Supporters like you make it possible for our team to act swiftly whenever our rights are attacked -- whether by state lawmakers, the Trump administration, or Congress.
The fight for our abortion rights is long and these lawsuits are ongoing. But we’re winning, and we have you to thank.
Thanks for sticking with us,
Jennifer Dalven
