Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia is courageously refusing to back President Biden's massive spending bill unless it includes the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits federal funding of abortion. Senator Manchin went so far as to recently tell reporters the Biden reconciliation bill is "dead on arrival" unless it includes the Hyde Amendment.
Time is of the essence. Senate Democrats are applying the pressure to Senator Manchin, hoping he'll cave so that they can ram through a massive spending bill without pro-life guard rails to protect the unborn.
