The bill is incredibly popular and delivers provisions the people need

Indivisibles,

Big things are happening today, so we’ll keep it short. Conservative Dems in the House are threatening to strip key provisions from the Build Back Better reconciliation bill and stall even further on passing critical recovery measures. Let’s be clear: This bill and its contents are incredibly popular and deeply important for people across the country, and we can’t keep putting it off.

Congress is scheduled to go on recess after tomorrow, so we need to act now. We need you to do two things to ensure the Build Back Better Act gets passed:

  1. Call your member of Congress RIGHT NOW and demand that they pass the Build Back Better Act today, before they leave for recess. Anything less is not acceptable -- negotiations have delivered a strong bill that will win crucial policies like climate action, affordable housing, child care and elder care, and more.

  2. Donate $10 to Indivisible. The longer this fight drags on, the more resources we’re pouring in to keep all our tools running and respond to the latest news. Grassroots donations make it all possible.

The most important thing Democrats can do right now is deliver on the promises that got them elected. The Build Back Better Act includes strong actions the people need, and it’s popular nationwide. Now we need to show our representatives that a mediocre bill won’t cut it -- it’s time to pass the damn bill.

In solidarity,
Indivisible Team
