We are delighted to share with you that Mini Timmaraju will be the next president of NARAL Pro-Choice America.

As you know, we’re in the fight of our lives as the Supreme Court takes up a case that could overturn Roe v. Wade. This year has been the worst on record for reproductive rights since Roe became the law of the land. As we face these attacks and prepare for critical midterm elections next year, Mini is the leader to chart our course forward at this key moment.

Mini is a seasoned campaigner, skilled coalition-builder, high-impact organizer, and talented organizational leader with over 20 years of experience advocating for reproductive rights, gender justice, and racial justice.

Mini has seen our work up close and personal. In 2016, when she was serving as women’s outreach on the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign, she joined NARAL members to knock on doors and urge voters to cast their ballots for that historic ticket. She’s worked on electoral and advocacy campaigns in her home state of Texas and all over the United States and she’s advised the Biden-Harris administration on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

She is a proven leader and ready to take this organization into its next chapter on the frontlines of the political fight for reproductive freedom.

This moment requires bold action and we’re so proud to welcome Mini to the helm of NARAL right now.

Together, we’re going to double down on our work to elect champions for reproductive freedom and hold to account those who try to dismantle our rights. We’re going to continue to expose the anti-choice movement’s disinformation. We’re going to keep advocating in states and federally for legislation to safeguard abortion access and push back on bills that ban abortion.

And we’re going to do all of it with a deep commitment to equity, as Mini builds on NARAL's important strides to live out our values of anti-racism and partner with diverse organizations in states and nationally.

We are grateful to Adrienne Kimmell for so ably leading NARAL over the past five months as Acting President and thrilled for Mini to lead the NARAL team starting November 15. We know she is looking forward to meeting our members all across the country as we move forward together.
