With the 2021 election behind us, we’re taking a moment to reflect on our victories. In a so-called “off-year election,” we turned out in droves to elect local leaders that reflect our values, bringing progressive change right here in our communities.

In Boston, we elected the first woman of color as Mayor, Michelle Wu. In New Jersey, we re-elected Governor Phil Murphy, a Democratic champion for the environment and education. And all across the country, progressive Democrats now hold seats on City Councils and State Legislatures where they can put their bold visions for justice and equity into action.

But the results in Virginia gave us a wake-up call -- we can’t afford to take any Democratic seats for granted, especially when our majorities in Congress are at risk.

March On is ready for our next fight -- the 2022 Midterm elections -- and we’re already preparing for a huge year of action. It’s imperative that we protect voting rights so that we can elect more Democrats to Congress in order to hold or expand our majorities in the House and Senate.
