Marco Rubio is spending big on a vicious new spread of television attack ads aimed to crush Val Demings.
Demings trails Rubio in the race for Florida's Senate seat by two percentage points. And if we don't fight back against these new vicious attacks immediately, Val Demings will lose to Marco Rubio. This not only means that Rubio will have another six years to tear down the Affordable Care Act, deny climate change, contradict public health officials, and stand by Donald Trump, but it also means that Democrats may very well lose their Senate Majority.
But if Demings defeats Rubio in 2022, Democrats will expand their Senate Majority and continue to pass progressive legislation to move our country forward. That means finally securing robust paid leave, tuition-free community college, and lower prescription drug prices.
We are doing everything we can to elect Val Demings, but she's still behind in this race and we're $1,100 from our daily fundraising goal. If we fall short, we'll have to scale back our plans in Florida and Rubio will win again.
