You're probably looking at the same headlines as I am... so I won't mince words, John – election night 2021 was not a good one for Democrats. When we're looking ahead to another close slate of elections in 2022 in Georgia – including my own re-election campaign – results like these aren't good data points.

And today, the Georgia State Legislature gaveled in for their November special redistricting session. We could see their updated proposed district lines literally any day now.

Needless to say, between these two things, I'm on edge about what this means in the future for myself and Democrats everywhere.
