I wanted to send you a quick note this morning after the Virginia election.

I have two main concerns today: first and foremost, I’m committed to doing everything I can to protect our House Majority. Virginia is a bellwether for the midterms, so political analyst Dave Wasserman is right: The odds are clearly stacked against Democrats, and we need your help to turn this around before election day in 2022.

Of course, I also can’t help but worry that Trump may now decide the conditions are right for him to jump into the 2024 presidential race. He’s been hinting at it for weeks, and last night’s Republican wins will likely play a large part in his decision.

Today, all eyes will be on Democrats’ response to the Virginia results. We have the chance to turn the tide, but we need to come out of this loss swinging, ready to fight back and win.
