Election Day was a tough blow for Democrats — most notably in Virginia,
where former Governor Terry McAuliffe lost to Republican businessman Glenn
Youngkin in a state that Joe Biden won by 10 points last November.

Even before Election Day, centrist Democrats blamed dwindling poll numbers
on the progressives who stood with the American people and refused to pass
the Republican-backed infrastructure bill without critical investments in
paid family leave, Medicare expansion, and more. Corporate Democrats have
no one to blame but themselves.

We’ve seen this play out before. When corporate Democrats lose elections,
they blame progressives. But it’s clear that Democrats have failed to meet
the urgency of this moment — and the American people are taking notice.



The Democratic Party establishment isn’t working anymore. Democrats have
lost elections in “blue states” and have failed to pass the President’s
