Friends -

Joe Biden won Virginia by 10 points.

Wisconsin was a lot closer than that.

Last night’s elections make it clear that 2022 has a chance to be a challenging year for Democrats. And out of all the races in the country, Mandela’s has a chance to be the closest and most competitive — with nothing short of control of the Senate on the line.

But last night’s results also show that to win Wisconsin in 2022, we need a new playbook.

We need to build a coalition of Wisconsinites from all walks of life and corners of the state – urban, suburban, and rural.

And we need to stop running politicians who only stand against each other. It’s time to stand FOR something.

When Mandela ran for lieutenant governor, he won 71 out of 72 counties with his message of creating opportunities across the state. As lieutenant governor, he visited every corner of the state listening to people and helping Wisconsinites from all walks of life recover from the pandemic.

And that’s exactly how we’re going to defeat Ron Johnson and flip this Senate seat: by talking to voters in every last county, with a vision for making Wisconsin work for ALL of us.

So if you’re feeling some despair today, we get it. But there’s something you can do about it — something we MUST do about it.

Because losing the governorship in Virginia isn’t great, but losing control of the Senate would be catastrophic:
