I’ve been part of the Brady legal team for decades, so when I say this is our most consequential case in recent memory, I’m not exaggerating.
Today, the Supreme Court of the United States will hear a case which has garnered extreme support from the NRA, and if they get their way, it will dramatically change gun laws in our country and make the NRA’s dreams come true: They’re pushing for a Constitutional right to carry handguns in public spaces to use in “armed confrontation” — in other words, to fire guns when and where they choose to.
