Piyali (meaning “hello” in Nahuatl) familia,

Wow. We did it. We really did. The Freedom Walks in Texas have left a very big
sounding message – WE CONTINUE TO WALK AND VOTE. Together, we started a movement
in our communities with LULAC that only continues to grow from now on. Guess who
is leading this charge? The youth and young members of LULAC alongside our
lifelong members!

Will you join us, will you lead your own solidarity walk? [ [link removed] ]

Now more than ever we need to stand together and lead with purpose. Our vote
matters in every election and we do not have to wait until 2020 to mobilize our
communities. Read the toolkit, download materials, register your walk, and let’s
join the movement of #WeWalkWeVote in current and future elections. Most
movements have been led and carried by youth and young adults. Can LULAC count on
you to join us?

About Freedom Walks for Justice
The Freedom Walks for Justice is a national campaign being led by LULAC.

national leaders to walk in unity across 14 different cities in eight states
across the U.S. and the District of Columbia from October 15 - November 4, 2019.
The Freedom Walk campaign includes marches, rallies and community events, aimed
at mobilizing communities across the country to register to vote and vote in
2020. The first Freedom Walks will start on the U.S.-Mexico border city of
Brownsville, Texas, and Corpus Christi, Texas, LULAC’s birthplace in 1929, and
