Tell Biden/EPA to finish the job of protecting Bristol Bay!

Protect Bristol Bay

Dear John,

In a new episode of television crime drama NCIS, a proposed copper mine in southwest Alaska threatens Bristol Bay and the world’s greatest wild salmon fishery.

Sounds dramatic--and familiar.

In September, the EPA announced that it will end a long-running drama threatening the world’s largest wild salmon fishery. The EPA plans to resume the Clean Water Act process suspended by the Trump administration. If completed, the Clean Water Act will protect Bristol Bay, fisheries and local communities from devastating destruction of the Pebble Mine.

Tell President Biden and the EPA that they need to finish the job and protect Bristol Bay!

NCIS is entirely fictional. But there’s an underlying truth to the story. The Pebble Mine threatens an amazing salmon run that supports the entire Bristol Bay ecosystem and helps feed our nation sustainable, healthy seafood! This year, 65.8 million sockeye returned to Bristol Bay–more than ever before. It’s time to end this episode and save Bristol Bay.

Please thank President Biden and the EPA. Tell them to stop the drama, finish the job and protect Bristol Bay!

In Solidarity,

Bonnie Gestring
