Friend,
In a moment I'm going to ask you to
chip in $3 to our grassroots campaign, but first, let me tell you why Democrats' loss in Virginia doesn't change much for our campaign:
• We already rejected the conventional playbook. We're not writing off any person or community -- even those deemed "too red" or apathetic. We're traveling to every corner of the state to talk to everyone, so that we can find real solutions to our problems. That alone shows EVERY community that Democrats fight for everyone.
• We're continuing to stand with striking workers at John Deere, who by the way, voted down the proposed contract from management yesterday. Workers are making it clear they demand dignity and respect on the job, and this campaign is proud to stand with workers over corporate profits.
We've chosen this path not only because we think supporting workers and unions is the right thing to do, but because it actually works.
My dad showed me after decades in the labor movement that fighting for working people is a roadmap we can use to win red and rural areas. When we show people that we fight for them -- we can win their trust, build real relationships, and win tough elections.
That said, Governor Kim Reynolds has a few million in the bank and Virginia will inevitably put some wind in her sails. While we still have a long way to go, I'm confident that with our approach, we can win this race. But it's going to take a TON of people chipping in small amounts from across the state and country, which is why I'm asking:
If you're fired up after last night and ready to chip in to a campaign that's putting people over politics, please make a contribution of $3 to help us reach our $10,000 online fundraising goal for November.

Thanks in advance,
