November is Native American Heritage Month.

This month is dedicated to honoring all Native American tribes and their rich history and culture. Kansas honors and gives thanks to the four Native tribes right here at home and their contributions to our great state.

This month we recognize the Indigenous people's strength and resilience. We take this time to clearly reflect upon our history and to ensure the significant challenges Native people have faced are never perpetrated again.

Today and every day, we celebrate our state and nation’s tribes.
