with a youth-focused event to tell President Biden: no more excuses. We
need voting rights legislation passed now!

We'll be joined by civil rights leaders, youth activists, actor Soleil
Moon Frye (who, along with her daughters, will be risking arrest with us),
and others...

No matter where you are, here are three easy things you can do to support
this important fight at the same time we're rallying at the White House.

Friend,

My kids’ future means everything to me. That’s why I’m willing to risk
arrest for voting rights.

My parents were civil rights activists – my father was part of the
original March for Jobs and Freedom in 1963 – so I grew up with a unique
understanding of what it means to be of service to a greater cause. Now,
the freedom to vote is that cause.

My friends at People For the American Way are working hard to urge
President Biden to lead on voting rights in the way that only the
President of the United States can. Will you join us in Washington,
D.C. next Wednesday, November 3, at 10 AM as they return to the White
House to once again demand progress on federal voting rights protections?

As a kid growing up in front of the camera, I had an unusual childhood. I
grew up with an acute awareness that many people were still fighting hard
for freedom across the country. Now I’m a parent myself, and I’ve realized
that at its heart, the movement for voting rights is about the
future. It’s critical that we encourage young people to join this movement
now, because, ultimately, they’ll be the ones carrying it forward.

This Wednesday, People For the American Way and its democracy coalition
partners have joined with youth activists to demand that President Biden
urge the Senate to FIX or NIX the filibuster to pass critical voting
rights legislation. Every issue that affects young people’s future is on
the line if we can’t protect access to the ballot box for every
eligible voter. Please join us on Wednesday as we build the crowd and show
the White House just how many people are with us!
