Last night, Virginia flipped red.

John, I have to be blunt: a Republican candidate for Governor could win here in Pennsylvania next year, too.
Pennsylvania is the next chance Republicans have to flip a Governor’s seat. It’s one of the most competitive swing states in the country — Donald Trump won by less than one percentage point, and Joe Biden won by just one percentage point.

We cannot let what happened in Virginia happen in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania hasn't elected two Democratic Governors in a row since the 1950s. If we’re going to make history, we cannot let our foot up off the gas.

Elections are never something we can take for granted. Neither is our right to vote.

We’ve seen unprecedented attacks on our elections and our right to vote from extremist Pennsylvania Republicans — some of whom are my opponents in this race.

Everything is on the line in 2022.

That’s not an overstatement. The Republicans wanted to gut access to affordable health care. They want to make it harder for workers to organize. They want to ban abortion. They want to make it harder to vote. They want to overturn the 2020 election results.

If we’re going to defeat them, and keep Pennsylvania blue, we have to start right now.
