Dear John,

This is it. Election Day is exactly one week from today – and it’s our last chance to take control of the Virginia legislature before redistricting in 2021.

I’ll be upfront: this is a fundraising email. But before I ask you to donate, I hope you’ll take 2 minutes to read why donating right now is so important. ([link removed])

Like many of you, back in 2017 I poured all the outrage, despair, and fury I felt over Donald Trump’s election into flipping Virginia’s House of Delegates blue.

While we came breathtakingly close, one moment has always stuck with me.

In the last week of the election, exhausted, we left 20 doors unknocked for Shelly Simonds. We ended up losing that race by two votes. If we had stuck it out, would the outcome have been different?

This year, we're not leaving anything to chance. That's why I'm asking you to contribute $20.19 today, John ([link removed]) -- your donation will go directly to critical last-minute volunteer supplies and digital ads for our candidates.

I spent last weekend in Virginia Beach, canvassing for our candidates Cheryl Turpin, Alex Askew, and Karen Mallard. The energy on the ground was electric as Sister District volunteers join college students, union members, local community members, and activists from across the state filled the campaign offices, eager to knock doors for these critical candidates.

The stakes couldn’t be higher in 2019; not just for the issues Virginians care about, but also because it’s our chance to send a message to both sides in the 2020 race: we’re here, we’re organized, and we’re ready to pour our hearts and souls into taking our country back.

If you're with me, please donate $20.19 today. This is our last chance to make a difference in 2019. ([link removed])

In strength,
Lyzz
